about

These songs are as expansive as the western US rock formations, roads and skies that inspired them. They were composed during an extended family roadtrip through South Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado and Wyoming during the early summer months of 2020, when national and state parks were just reopening from a months-long closure due to the COVID pandemic. While my countless travels have enabled m to see so much of the world, this part of my own country and its innumerable secrets had remained unexplored. I uncovered inspiration, beauty, incredibly unique terrain and a newfound appreciation for my country and my family. I hope that this music can uplift and galvanize you as much as it has for me; these anthems helped me get through 2020 and the following two years with my sanity -- and positivity -- intact.
